Professional Writing

My writing spans a broad spectrum of contexts and audiences.

From copywriting for mass website syndication to literary review blog posts to an entire 250-page biography for a local PDX physician, I’ve run the gamut of professional writing gigs for over ten years.

You can also find links below to my published creative writing. I’m currently working on a historical/speculative fiction novel.

Ooligan Press

I had the privilege of interviewing Portland historian and political activist Michael Munk about his book , The Portland Red Guide. The interview appears here, along with a brief review.

Other Ooligan titles I wrote about include A Heart for Any Fate.

Portland Review

Read my review of The Devil Says Maybe I Like It by Wendy Bourgeois.

Portland Review’s back issues contain a number of writers who have since gone on to have their books and short stories published more broadly. My article on these writers appears in this Spring of 2018 blog post.

From the Hip

In the four years I published the international dance print and online magazine From the Hip, I wrote over 16 cover feature stories— all of them interviews with internationally renowned performers. In each issue, I also wrote an editor’s letter. To view issues of From the Hip, navigate to the “Online Access” page and a menu will drop down showing all issues.
